The open-air atrium and the terrace, which is loosely connected to the city, both offer a very pleasant place to relax and enjoy conversation. On the second floor, there is an open terrace area and a library lounge, where you can relax, plan your trip, work or just enjoy the space, like your living room.
The Lobby Gallery is where our guests and neighbors can meet, a place that truly exemplifies NOHGA HOTEL.
Depending on the time of day, the Lobby Gallery can transform from cafe to dining space to bar. Wake up with NOHGA HOTEL's original coffee, be satisfied by Bistro NOHGA's delicious menu, enjoy a late drink before bed - use the space how- ever you'd like.
Furthermore, be inspired by the modern art that is exhibited upon the walls, but keep your eye out as they will change periodically. Art and products created by the local craftsmen and creators are available for purchase. If you are interested, the hotel staff will gladly refer you to the workshop or store where you can discover more.
It's easy to forget you're in the heart of Tokyo, with the spacious Ueno Park and its many museums and galleries. Ueno is one of Tokyo's most famous art spots and there is so much to see and do that it is impossible to visit it all in one day. In order to make you feel the artistic atmosphere of Ueno, the hotel welcomes you with carefully selected artworks all over the hotel.

Fu Ouchi 's work is gorgeous, yet exudes a sense of transience. Come to the Lobby Gallery to experience the passion that Ouchi has for his work, which uses soft colors to move between the concrete and abstract, and which he uses to express painting.
At NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO, we have curated a collection of original products and works of art created by local craftsmen, designers, and artists, which we feature in various contexts around the hotel. By featuring these products, we want to take the first step in introducing our guests to the studios and shops that produce these personal, unique pieces our neighbors have created for us. In addition, NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO is holding collaborative events, seminars, and workshops in our restaurant, lounge, and 10th floor suite to bring our guests face-to-face with NOHGA HOTEL’s neighbors, and allow them to experience their craftsmanship hands-on.
NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO seeks to create an eco-friendly hotel through energy consumption control, waste and drainage measures, consideration for food, and local community activities. Accompanying our mission to "be deeply connected to the places" and our perception on eco-friendliness, we will strive to achieve a sustainable society through our products and services.

This aroma adds grapefruit and refreshing herb scents such as spike lavender to NOHGA HOTEL #1, which was blended with base notes of hinoki cypress and yuzu citrus. It is a new original aroma that is fitting for NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO,with its theme of "communication" inspired by the spread of space and time, akin to the spread of leaves and branches when new foliage sprouts. Please use the room spray on a space by giving a slight puff. It is also recommended for when you want to refresh a room or change the atmosphere.
In the creation of this original NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO scent, Tomoko Saito visualized NOHGA HOTEL's roots in Ueno, a neighborhood with a natural landscape, rich tradition of hand-crafting, and history of parks and museums. This scent extracts the essence of Japanese Cypress and Yuzu, and layers the essences of the woods and soil, creating an enveloping sense of calmness. Using citrus essences and purifying peppermint, Tomoko Saito is also curating scents to create refreshing and reviving spaces in the fitness and restrooms.
