A Taste of Summer from Kyoto's Shoseien Garden

We are delighted to present our limited-time Plum Fair, featuring plums carefully grown in Shoseien Garden, one of Kyoto's most treasured scenic gardens.

Our hotel team took part in harvesting the plums, carefully preparing each one by hand before transforming them into homemade plum syrup. Using these plums, we have created a seasonal selection of special dishes, freshly baked bread, cocktails, and a welcome drink.

Lovingly cultivated without the use of pesticides and cared for by skilled gardeners, the plums from Shoseien Garden reflect the beauty of Kyoto's seasonal bounty. From harvest and preparation to serving each dish and drink, our hotel team has been involved every step of the way.

Enjoy our special homemade plum juice, made with plum syrup carefully prepared by our hotel team using green plums harvested from Shoseien Garden over the course of three weeks.

■Plum Kakigori (Japanese Shaved Ice)

To coincide with the Gojo Wakamiya Pottery Festival, we will be serving a special kakigori topped with homemade plum syrup made from plums harvested in Shoseien Garden.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, this marks the first time NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO will participate in the festival as a vendor. We invite you to enjoy this refreshing taste of Kyoto's summer.
